PRINCETON – Today, Congresswoman Lateefah Simon is endorsing Dr. Adam Hamawy in the race for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District seat.  

“Dr. Adam Hamawy has been a champion for justice and humanity throughout his career -- saving lives in war zones, treating patients at home in New Jersey, and speaking with moral clarity when it wasn't easy,” said Congresswoman Lateefah Simon. “We need more people like Dr. Hamawy in Congress. Dr. Adam Hamawy is a father, husband, humanitarian, surgeon, veteran, and small business owner running to represent New Jersey’s 12th District where he was raised and is raising his children. He served as a combat trauma surgeon and became a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army, working with medical teams in combat and disaster zones like Iraq and Haiti and saving hundreds of lives.

Since completing his service, Adam has spent the last decade building a successful medical practice in the Princeton area, while also dedicating more than 30 years volunteering to treat patients in overwhelmed hospitals, war zones, and disaster areas at home and abroad.
