Connell Foley LLP Welcomes Abbey True Harris as Partner in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Group
Will spearhead firm-wide pro bono community service program
ROSELAND, NJ – February 11, 2026 – Connell Foley LLP is pleased to announce that Abbey True Harris has joined the firm as a partner in its Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Group. Harris will leverage her expansive law firm, government, and private industry experience to support clients across regulatory, legislative, and governmental processes, including providing counsel on complex litigation and appellate law. In addition to her legal practice, she will direct a firmwide community engagement program to amplify Connell Foley's long-standing commitment to pro bono services.
"Abbey’s unique track record spanning corporate, non-profit, government, and public service makes her an exceptional addition to Connell Foley," said Managing Partner Timothy Corriston. "Her decades of diverse legal practice, regulatory affairs, and public policy experience will have an immediate impact for our clients. We are thrilled to welcome such an invaluable talent to our team, and I look forward to working together to serve the firm’s clients and significantly expand our strong commitment to community service and pro bono legal work."
Harris’ high-level government service includes serving as chief counsel of the New Jersey Senate Majority Office, where she interfaced at the highest levels, and provided guidance on legislative matters and policy initiatives affecting state residents. In the private sector, Harris most recently worked as chief legal officer and senior vice president of external affairs at Reciprocal Management Corporation. Previously, as director of legal affairs and complex litigation at NJ Physicians United Reciprocal Exchange, she oversaw complex litigation, and executed healthcare-related legislative, amicus, and reform initiatives. Harris has significant experience in highly regulated industries such as affordable housing, insurance, healthcare, and long-term care.
“Connell Foley’s legal talent, political acumen and impressive growth make it the perfect environment to provide the highest levels of legal counsel for a range of clients and to launch important new community-based initiatives,” said Harris. “I am eager to begin
collaborating with such a remarkable team of professionals, and am especially grateful to have the opportunity to join like-minded practitioners committed to public and community service across the state.”
Community service and pro bono work are longstanding priorities at Connell Foley, which has earned continued recognition, most recently being named a Pro Bono Honoree for the 2026 NJBIZ Leaders in Law.
Aaron Gould, Chair of Connell Foley’s Pro Bono Committee adds, "We are excited to collaborate with Abbey and leverage her extensive network to further our pro bono initiatives. Her connections, energy, and kind heart will be invaluable in expanding our reach and impact within the community."
Deeply committed to community service, Harris was recently named to Jersey City Mayor Solomon’s transition co-governance committee, focused on housing and economic development. She served for nearly a decade on her local school board; has worked with or volunteered for various federal, state and local government offices; and was appointed to N.J. Supreme Court and Bar Association committees focusing on women and underserved populations. Harris has also worked with non-profit and advocacy groups as a legal or strategic advisor, and has provided pro bono counsel on significant civil rights issues. She founded A. True Impact, a consulting firm offering strategic advice to non-profit and for-profit entities, and co-founded DH Advisors, which provides guidance in affordable housing development. Holding a degree in Spanish, Harris has worked in Latin America in support of local and international charities, and has studied throughout Europe, focusing on affordable housing, urban planning and international politics.
Beginning her legal career in 2005 as a law clerk to New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Virginia A. Long, Harris subsequently spent nearly a decade in private practice with a large national firm, where she concentrated on complex appellate litigation, healthcare and regulatory matters.
