East Brunswick Democratic Organization Endorses Mayor Brad Cohen for New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — On Tuesday night, the East Brunswick Democratic Organization proudly announced its unanimous endorsement of Mayor Brad Cohen for the United States House of Representatives in New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District, a seat being vacated by Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.
For nearly a decade, Mayor Cohen has led East Brunswick with a steady focus on affordability, responsible growth, and standing up for what is right for the residents of our great township. Under his leadership, the township has a stable municipal tax rate, has seen an increase in township services, attracted hundreds of businesses that add to the innovation corridors adjacent to Route 1, and has remained a welcoming, forward-looking community. Local Democratic leaders say those same values are urgently needed in Washington.
“Brad Cohen is a proven leader who delivers results and never backs down from doing what’s right for our residents,” said David Lonski, Chair of the East Brunswick Democratic Organization. “At a time when families are struggling with rising costs and our democratic institutions face continued threats, Brad brings the integrity, experience, and determination New Jersey deserves in Congress.”
The organization also expressed deep gratitude to Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman for her years of principled service to the district and the nation.
Mayor Cohen said he is honored to receive the endorsement from his hometown Democratic organization.
“East Brunswick is where I’ve raised my family, opened my medical office, served my neighbors on the Board of Education, and as mayor, where I have been working every day to solve problems and bring people together,” Cohen said. “I'm running for Congress for two reasons: affordability and accountability. We need to make the lives of Americans more affordable and hold Donald Trump and the radical MAGA Congress accountable for subverting our democracy."
