Essex-West Hudson Labor Council, AFL-CIO, Endorses Brendan Gill for Congress

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Today, Essex County Commissioner Brendan Gill, candidate for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District, announced the endorsement of the Essex-West Hudson Labor Council, AFL-CIO, a coalition representing dozens of affiliated labor unions and thousands of working people, including firefighters, nurses, educators, EMTs, tradespeople, and other essential public servants across New Jersey.

“Brendan Gill has consistently shown that he understands the challenges working families face and that he’s willing to stand up and fight for them,” said Assemblyman Thomas Giblin, President of the Essex-West Hudson Labor Council, AFL-CIO. “Brendan grew up in a union household that taught him the values of protecting workers’ rights to supporting strong public services and safe communities. In his longstanding work for Congressman Bill Pascrell, Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Frank Lautenberg, and Senator Cory Booker, Brendan has earned the trust of labor. We are proud to endorse him for Congress in New Jersey’s 11th District.”
