Former Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way Endorses Veliky, Cruz, and Cassanova

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ-- Former Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State Tahesha Way today announced her endorsement of Nick Veliky and Orlando Cruz for Passaic County Commissioner and Surrogate Zoila Cassanova for re-election in the June 2nd Democratic Primary.

Way, who previously served as Director of the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders and understands the importance of effective county government, said the team has the proven experience and leadership to continue moving Passaic County forward.

“Nick Veliky, Orlando Cruz, and Zoila Cassanova understand the importance of public service and delivering real results for working families,” said Way. “They are focused on affordability, strong communities, and making sure county government continues to serve residents with professionalism and transparency. I’m proud to support them.”

Way added that her experience serving Passaic County taught her the importance of responsive, community-focused leadership.

Veliky, Cruz, and Cassanova thanked Way for her support and praised her long record of public service to Passaic County and New Jersey.

Surrogate Zoila Cassanova said Way’s endorsement reflects the broad coalition supporting the Democratic ticket.

“Tahesha Way has been a role model and trailblazer in public service,” said Cassanova. “I’m honored to have her support and friendship.”

The June 2nd Democratic Primary will determine the Democratic nominees for County Commissioner and Surrogate.

The endorsement adds to the growing list of supporters backing the Passaic County Democratic Committee team, including Governor Mikie Sherrill, legislators, county officials, mayors, councilmembers, and Democratic leaders from across Passaic County.
