Healthcare leader brings two decades of experience advancing health and community well-being to Fulfill

Neptune, NJ – Fulfill, a leader in alleviating hunger and food insecurity in Monmouth and Ocean counties, has named Kim Simers, MHA, as vice president of community impact, strengthening the organization’s focus on food, health and community well-being.

“Food security is foundational to the health and strength of our communities, and Kim understands that connection deeply,” said Triada Stampas, president and CEO of Fulfill. “The causes and consequences of food insecurity range from health and education to employment. Kim’s collaborative leadership will help us grow and strengthen partnerships to create lasting community impact and ensure our neighbors have the resources they need to thrive. We’re thrilled to have her on our executive team leading this work.”

For more than four decades, Fulfill has been at the forefront of addressing food insecurity across Monmouth and Ocean counties. As the need for food assistance continues to evolve, Fulfill is taking a broader approach to food security by working with healthcare providers, community organizations and other partners to connect neighbors with food, benefits, education and other resources that support long-term health and stability.

Most recently, as assistant vice president of integrative health at CentraState Healthcare System, Simers advanced health equity by integrating health-related social needs into patient care and building community-based systems of care. Through partnerships with grassroots organizations, municipalities, and other agencies, she helped connect residents to services that supported chronic and acute condition management and extended the hospital’s impact beyond what it could achieve alone. Her work included large-scale initiatives such as diabetes screenings, community and corporate wellness programs and the hospital’s COVID-19 community response plan, which spanned education, outreach, vaccine administration, and long COVID screenings.

Earlier in her career, Simers served as vice president of strategic planning and business development at Shore Memorial Hospital, where she developed community-focused programs, assessed gaps in access and built strategic partnerships. Her experience in community healthcare, as well as her master's in health administration, has equipped Simers with a deep understanding of how partnerships can expand access to essential resources.
