JERSEY CITY COUNCILMEMBER ELEANA LITTLE ENDORSES DAVID SABRY GUIRGIS FOR HUDSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER, DISTRICT 4

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Today, Jersey City Councilmember Eleana Little endorsed David Sabry Guirgis for Hudson County Commissioner, District 4.

Little, an environmental engineer and progressive advocate who represents parts of District 4 on the Jersey City Council, was elected in 2025 as part of the progressive/left wave of victories that helped elect Democratic Socialists Joel Brooks and Jake Ephros to the City Council, as well as Jersey City Mayor James Solomon and Assemblymembers Katie Brennan and Ravi Bhalla.

“David's love of people is reflected in his people-first policies and working class solidarity,” said Councilmember Eleana Little at an event announcing her endorsement. “He doesn't just believe in these things. He's lived them.  David has always stayed true to his roots as a working-class. public school kid from Jersey City. and he's always sought to use his talents in public service to advance progressive policies and ideals.  I know he will bring that mindset with him to the Hudson County Board of Commissioners. I am proud today to endorse for County Commissioner, District 4.

“When you need a fierce, unbought, principled progressive on your side, you call on Eleana Little,” said David Guirgis. “We’ve worked for years to underscore the fact that corrupt machine politics will never deliver for working families. From advocating for Right to Counsel in Jersey City to championing bus rapid transit when it wasn’t popular, Eleana has been on the front lines of the most necessary progressive issues in our city — and I am deeply grateful for her support as we take on the machine and deliver leadership with real political imagination on the Board of Commissioners.”

The primary election is on June 2, 2026.
