Mercer County Clergy Leaders Endorse Reynolds-Jackson for Congress

A coalition of faith leaders from across Mercer County today announced their endorsement of Verlina Reynolds-Jackson for Congress. The clergy leaders cited Reynolds-Jackson’s dedication to justice, compassion, and service as the foundation for their support.

“I have had the privilege of working alongside Verlina on many initiatives, including health policy that will literally save lives in our community. Her leadership in securing funding for our first birth and wellness center in Trenton proves her commitment to ensuring that every mother and child has access to quality care, regardless of their zip code or economic status,” said Reverend Charles Boyer. “She doesn’t wait for problems to solve themselves—she rolls up her sleeves and gets the job done.”

“Verlina recognizes that true community strength comes from ensuring everyone has a fair shot at prosperity,” said Reverend Simone Spenser. “She has been a tireless advocate for all communities. Her dedication to lifting those who have been left behind is not political rhetoric—it’s a calling she has answered time and again.”

“Verlina leads with integrity and conviction—qualities that are all too rare in today’s political landscape. She consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the people of New Jersey, fighting for us with courage and principle even when it’s difficult,” said Reverend Timothy Jordan. “We need a leader who will stand firm in their values while delivering real change, and Verlina is exactly that leader. She does not just stand for us; she fights for us with everything she has.”

The faith leaders emphasized Reynolds-Jackson’s work on issues central to the communities they serve, including affordable healthcare, educational equity, economic opportunity, and support for seniors and families struggling to make ends meet.

“I am deeply humbled by this endorsement from Mercer County’s faith community,” said Verlina Reynolds-Jackson. “They serve on the front lines every day, ministering to families in need and working to heal our communities. Their support means the world to me, and I pledge to carry their values of service, dignity, and justice with me to Congress.

“We are at a crossroads in our nation, and now more than ever, we need to continue to make our voices heard on Capitol Hill—fighting for healthcare, economic opportunity, and the dignity of every family in our district.”
