NJBIA Media Availability for FY27 Budget Interviews

As Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s inaugural budget address for FY27 approaches, NJBIA is inviting media to access the association for any pre- or post-budget interviews.
NJBIA President and CEO Michele Siekerka and the association’s full Government Affairs team, led by Chief Government Affairs Officer Christopher Emigholz, who also handles budget and tax issues for the association, will be available for media interviews for this critical budget announcement.
“We are encouraged by Gov. Sherrill’s message acknowledging the need for fiscal discipline in New Jersey after years of overspending by the previous administration,” Siekerka said.
“With much at stake, we look forward to discussing our recommendations and sharing our thoughts for this budget proposal as it relates to our overall economy, businesses in the state and other areas where we have subject matter expertise.”
NJBIA’s GA team also includes the following representatives to discuss various areas relating to the budget:
- Energy & Environment: Deputy Chief Government Affairs Officer Ray Cantor
- Manufacturing, Cost-saving Reforms: Christopher Emigholz
- Education, Workforce Development, Childcare, Healthcare: Vice President of Government Affairs Althea D. Ford
- Technology and Innovation: Research Analyst Jack Ramirez
- Labor: Policy Analyst Jack Kelly
In 2025, NJBIA released its 28-page Blueprint for a Competitive New Jersey, which provides a framework to grow jobs and New Jersey’s economy for the new administration.
