Passaic County is Hiring Poll Workers for June 2, 2025 Election Day

The Passaic County Board of Elections is still seeking civic-minded individuals to serve as poll workers for the upcoming June 2, 2026 Election Day. This is a great opportunity to support our democracy, serve your community and earn extra income.

To be eligible, you must be a registered voter in Passaic County.

Poll workers play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and secure election process. Duties include:

  • Attending mandatory training
  • Working from 5:00 AM to approximately 8:30 PM
  • Setting up and closing the polling site
  • Assisting voters as they navigate the voting process
  • Looking up voter information using Electronic Poll Registration Tablets
  • Issuing the correct ballot to each voter
  • Directing voters to the correct voting machine

Poll workers will be paid $300 for the day.

“Serving as a poll worker is one of the most direct ways a citizen can contribute to our democracy,” said Director Commissioner Sandi Lazzara. “The Passaic County Board of Elections is looking for responsible, community-minded individuals who want to make a real difference on Election Day. We hope you'll consider joining us.”
