On March 28, 4:00-5:30 pm, Rahway will join with millions of Americans across the country and throughout New Jersey as part of the third nationwide No Kings Day.

During the Rahway event, participants will gather around Veterans Square, a historic site that George Washington once visited, in a visibility rally intended to draw attention to the actions of the Trump administration that they feel run counter to the principles upon which the nation was founded.

“This is bigger than political disagreement. The administration has defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services--all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies,” said Lisa Vandever, Co-Leader of Indivisible Rahway. “We’re bringing together local residents from all walks of life who share a simple message: Enough is enough.”

Organized by volunteer members of Indivisible Rahway and Indivisible Central New Jersey, the local event is part of the nationwide No Kings movement, a mass, nonviolent effort that has already mobilized millions. The movement has grown from over five million participants in June of 2025 to over 7 million people joining 2,700+ events across all 50 states in October, with additional numbers expected on March 28 as communities unite to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom.

All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation, every local event has a safety lead, and organizers are coordinating closely with local partners to ensure powerful, nonviolent local actions.
