Governor Sherrill Statement in Response to Fatal Shooting by Federal Agents in Minneapolis
"Yesterday, federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti on the street in Minnesota, an ICU nurse who cared for our veterans. His death is a tragedy – and the result of a reckless operation where federal leaders have clearly lost control. But this also isn’t the first tragedy. ICE agents shot and killed Renee Good in her Honda Pilot, a mom of three who had just dropped a kid off at school.
"These untrained, masked agents aren’t making communities safer – they’re occupying cities, inciting violence, and violating the Constitution. And there must be accountability for their lawless actions."
