Stewart Statement on the Passing of Passaic County Commissioner Bruce James
PATERSON, N.J. — Assemblyman Kenyatta Stewart issued the following statement on the passing of Commissioner Bruce James:
“It is with great sadness that I join communities across Passaic County in mourning the loss of Commissioner Bruce James.
“Bruce dedicated two decades of his life to serving the people of Passaic County. His years working at the Passaic County Board of Social Services gave him a firsthand understanding of the struggles families face, and he carried that perspective with him into public office. He never forgot that behind every policy and every vote were real people whose lives could be affected.
“Bruce fought for people—not because he knew everyone, but because he believed in what he was fighting for. He stood by his convictions, spoke his mind, and did things his way. Whether it was advocating for better parks or standing up for residents, Bruce was never afraid to fight for what he believed was right.
“Bruce leaves behind a legacy of conviction, service, and an unwavering commitment to people. My deepest condolences go to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
