Tom Kean Jr. Owes New Jersey Answers About Where He’s Been and Why He’s Traded Stocks While Missing 135 Votes
Kean Jr. has failed to be transparent with New Jersey voters and must answer tough questions if he returns to Washington
Congressman Tom Kean Jr. has not been seen in person or on camera for more than 100 days. In that time, Kean Jr. has missed 135 votes in Washington while continuing to play the stock market.
As his team once again claims that he will soon return to Washington, Kean Jr. still refuses to be transparent with his constituents about where he is or why he’s missing from the job they elected him to do.
If Kean Jr. does in fact return to Washington, he owes his constituents answers to the following questions:
Where were you, and why did you refuse to tell your constituents where you were during your absence?
Why have you repeatedlyfailed to stand up for New Jersey – even before you were physically absent?
Will you hold your first ever in-person town hall as a member of Congress and answer questions directly from your constituents?
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Tom Kean Jr.’s absence has put a bright spotlight on his record of corruption, including his continued stock trading while missing from Congress. It has also reminded New Jerseyans that Kean Jr. was always an absent congressman, long before he physically went missing. If Kean Jr. does return to Washington, he must answer to the people of New Jersey and be accountable for his corruption and lack of transparency.”
