At a moment of deep division and uncertainty, STANDoffers a hopeful and urgent call to action rooted in enduring American ideals.
In STAND, Senator Booker argues that principles such as justice, compassion, courage, and civic engagement are not luxuries—they are vital, strategic tools essential to our survival and success as a nation. By wielding these tools together, he shows how Americans can reclaim a sense of common cause and help change the course of the country’s history.
Through inspiring and actionable insights, STAND speaks to Americans from all walks of life, offering a roadmap for leadership that is both values-driven and results-oriented. The book tour will feature conversations, readings, and audience engagement focused on how individuals and communities can translate shared ideals into meaningful action.
Senator Cory Booker is the senior United States Senator from New Jersey. He served as mayor of Newark before becoming New Jersey’s first Black senator in 2013 and only the fourth popularly elected Black senator in US history. In 2025, he broke the record for longest speech on the Senate Floor, previously held by segregationist Strom Thurman, when he spoke for 25 hours and 4 minutes, shining a
light on the harmful policies of the Trump administration. His speech helped inspire people across the country to stand up, take action and meet the greatest moral moment of the time.
