UTCA STATEMENT ON PRIYA JAIN BEING NAMED NEXT DOT COMMISSIONER
WALL – Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA) Chief Executive Officer Director David Rible issued the following statement today regarding the announcement by Governor-elect Sherrill that she will nominate Priya Jain to serve as Department of Transportation Commissioner:
“We are eager to work with Priya on strengthening New Jersey’s roads, bridges and rails. Whether it be commuters, travelers or goods and cargo, our state plays a vital role in keeping the country moving. That’s why it is so important that we invest our Transportation Trust Fund dollars into projects that update and strengthen our infrastructure.
“Priya brings a strong track record of advancing major infrastructure and transportation projects across New Jersey. We will look forward to being a willing partner with Priya as she gets to work at DOT. As always, our members are ready, willing and able to assist in any we they can.
“UTCA would also like to thank Francis O’Connor for his years of dedication to the state as DOT Commissioner. He helped shepherd in a new era for the Transportation Trust Fund while working with our industry to keep projects moving. We greatly appreciate his service.”
