Following a victory by Tom Malinowski in Hunterdon on Sunday, InsiderNJ contacted Somerset County Democratic Committee Chair Peg Schaffer and asked about the organization’s support for banker Linda Weber of Berkeley Heights.

“We still think she is the best candidate,” Schaffer said, unwavering in her support, as Democrats look toward Union County to resolve their pre-primary kerfuffle and position a person to run in 2018 general election against incumbent U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7).
