The Importance of Restoring Public Trust in the US Supreme Court, on State of Affairs

Steve Adubato is joined by Paula A. Franzese, Peter W. Rodino Professor of Law at Seton Hall Law School, to discuss public confidence in the Supreme Court and ways to restore trust.

Adubato talks in part with Franzese about Americans who question our judicial system, many who believe the system is in jeopardy. Franzese responds, “You’re certainly right that public confidence in the Judiciary seems to have hit all-time lows. It’s certainly at its lowest that it has been in the last 50 years. As I study that rather disheartening phenomenon, what seems to me is that there are persons working in tandem with media and various other outlets to undermine the legitimacy of the judiciary.”
