U.S. Senate Candidate Hamm to Vote ‘Uncommitted’ for Prez

U.S Senate candidate Lawrence Hamm announced today that he will vote “Uncommitted” for president in the June 4thNew Jersey Democratic Primary Election.

“I am going to vote ‘Uncommitted’ for president in the June 4th New Jersey Democratic Primary Election to protest the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, and I am going to urge New Jersey voters to do the same,” Hamm said. “I believe voting ‘Uncommitted’ for president in the primary is the best way to send the strongest possible message to President Biden that his administration must do everything necessary to bring Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza to an immediate end.

“More than 530,000 people have voted ‘Uncommitted’ or ‘Uninstructed’ or ‘No Preference’ or ‘Leave It Blank’ or ‘Ceasefire’ in Democratic primaries of other states. I believe the ballots cast by those voters together with the millions of people who have protested against Israel’s genocidal war have pushed the Biden administration to talk about ceasefire in Gaza,” Hamm added.

“However, while the president’s administration is discussing ceasefire it is actually still supporting the war. It is providing billions of dollars in military aid to Israel for the war. It continues sell and transfer weapons to Israel. At the same time it is providing Israel weapons for war, it is cutting funds for humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians.

“A change in the president’s rhetoric is not enough. There must be a clear change in the policy and actions of his administration on this matter. To make this change happen we must keep up the pressure on the Biden administration. Voting ‘Uncommitted’ in the primary is one way to do that.”

Hamm said he wants the Biden administration end to the war and genocide in Gaza now. “I demand President Biden take all necessary action to realize an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza,” he said.

During the war which has lasted six months nearly 33,000 Palestinians have been killed, more than 10,000 missing and presumed dead, 76,000 have been wounded, more than 1,000,000, nearly half the population, has been displaced, and the majority of the population is suffering from starvation, Hamm noted. More than 50 percent of the housing has been bombed and destroyed. Gaza’s hospitals have been bombed and destroyed. The universities have been destroyed, and schools, mosques and churches have been bombed.

“I demand the Biden administration make possible the immediate and unrestricted flow of all humanitarian aid into Gaza and resumption of U.S. funding to The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA),” he said.

“Furthermore, I demand the administration immediately halt of all U.S. military aid, weapons sales, and weapons transfers to Israel,” Hamm added.

  1. Wrong on many fronts.

Prior to October 7, there were two million Arab citizens of Israel. There are no Jewish citizens in Gaza.

In 2006 Gazans voted in Hamas to rule. They ruled by executing PLO rivals.

Hamas canceled all future scheduled elections. It established a dictatorship and diverted hundreds of billions of dollars in international aid to build a vast underground tunnel system of military installations.

Hamas began the war by deliberately targeting civilians. It massacred them on October 7 when it invaded Israel. It sent rockets into Israeli cities to kill everyone. They do not care about civilians. Any Jewish death is celebrated.

It was not Israel, but the people of Gaza and the West Bank who institutionalized hatred of Israel and seek to destroy Israel. It was Hamas that started this war. They hide the weapons in mosques, schools, hospital.

Israel would be content to live next to an independent Arab Gaza and West Bank if people did not seek to destroy Israel. They must recognize Israel and stop suicide bombings.

It is said that Israel wrongly uses disproportionate force to retaliate in Gaza. But it does so because no nation can win a war without disproportionate violence that hurts the enemy more than it is hurt by the enemy.

Israel must eliminate Hamas entirely before any reconciliation is achieved.

  2. If you are planning on putting Trump as president go ahead. But don’t masked it like you are doing anything different

  3. This guy Hamm needs to remember he is running for US Senate from NJ. He would represent all the people.

His constant “I demand, I demand, I demand” comments sound more like a protest leader rather than a class act Senate candidate.

He’s entitled to his opinion but NJ needs leaders who will consider all points of view and represent all of NJ.

    Show a little class.

  4. Following news out of Michigan. Middle Easterners shouting Death to America.
I wonder if Hamm agrees with this sentiment?

  5. Now I see anti-Isreal protests shutting down parts.ofnthe Senate. I wonder if Hamm approves of this. Would he be the one inciting action such as this?
