Backed by Fulop, Iron-Fisted Stamato Expected to Lock Up JCDO Chairmanship Tonight
In Jersey City, Barbara Stamato is expected to be voted Jersey City Democratic Organization (JCDO) chair.
Stamato has the support of Mayor Steven Fulop. She will replace Shawn Thomas-Sully, who ran afoul of the the mayor. The Ward A leader, Stamato has a reputation as a very hard worker. She’s related to former Mayor Gerry McCann, and runs the Greenville section of Jersey City with an iron fist.
“Fulop picked a good one,” a source told InsiderNJ.
