Bramnick Says He Never Received a Phone Call from Ciattarelli

NEW BRUNSWICK - An audience member in the Eagleton Institute crowd fired the first question to state Senator Jon Bramnick (R-21) at this bipartisan civility tour anchored by Bramnick and his cross-the-aisle colleague, Joe Cryan (D-20).
Bramnick ran unsuccessfully for governor in the GOP Primary earlier this year.
He lost to Jack Ciattarelli.
"After the Democratic Primary, all the losers rallied behind Mikie Sherrill," the Rutgers student noted.
But after the all-Republican contest, Bramnick did not - to date - issue a statement of support for Ciattarelli.
What's up?
"I have not got any contact with Jack Ciattarelli," said the Union-based senator. "He didn't contact me. Bill Spadea and I congratulated him. I'll let you know as soon as he calls me."
Bramnick added that in the 2009 Republican Primary, Chris Christie defeated Steve Lonegan.
After beating him, "Chris Christie was in Steve Lonegan's kitchen.
"Jack was in my caucus for six years... I just haven't heard from him," Bramnick added.
Cryan took the opportunity to also make a comment.
He acknowledged that Democrats support Sherrill.
But, "We could rally a little harder," he observed pointedly.
