Public Alliance NJ Endorses Rebecca Bennett for Congress
Group of Federal Union Workers and Non-Profit Workers Back Bennett to Flip NJ-07
SOMERVILLE, NJ - Today, Navy helicopter pilot, healthcare leader, and mom of two, Rebecca Bennett announced her endorsement from The Public Alliance NJ, a group of concerned and fed-up federal union and non-profit workers activated in New Jersey after DOGE and union chapter cuts from the Trump administration.
Bennett continues to cement her frontrunner status, and as such is the only candidate to be endorsed by organized labor in the primary, following her endorsement from the Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association <https://rebeccabennettforcongress.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7d0abcb62513c8b0e943f4579&id=969b01e7eb&e=6bf49449f3> in February of this year.
"Rebecca Bennett understands that the government should work for people," said The Public Alliance NJ. “She's committed to investing in the public workforce, protecting the integrity of civil service, and ensuring that trained union professionals are ready to respond in times of crisis, safeguard public health, protect consumers, and keep our communities safe. That's why we're proud to endorse Rebecca Bennett for Congress in New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District."
“I’m grateful for the support from the Public Alliance NJ in my campaign to flip NJ-07,” said Rebecca Bennett. “As the Trump administration is gutting union chapters across federal departments and agencies, and union workers are under attack, I will fight to make sure that New Jersey’s federal union workers and non-profit workers continue to have the bargaining rights they deserve. I’m proud to have the Public Alliance NJ with me to build on our momentum and flip this seat in November.”
Rebecca Bennett is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, officer in the Air National Guard, business leader in healthcare, and mom of two. Rebecca served in the Navy for over a decade as a helicopter pilot and aircraft commander. After serving her country for over fifteen years in the military and making waves in healthcare innovation, Rebecca is running for Congress to build a better future for our community. As a mom to two young girls, Rebecca understands first-hand the challenges of balancing work & family while navigating inflation and the rising cost of living.
