Bramnick Taps Bucco and Munoz for Caucus Leadership Posts

Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-21), Bramnick's Summit-based Republican running mate.

Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) announced two senior leadership changes in the Assembly Republican caucus today. Bramnick named Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco (R-25) wconference leader and Assemblywoman Nancy F.  Muñoz (R-21) whip.  Bucco replaces Dave Rible, who this summer took a position as director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control by Gov. Chris Christie.

“Tony has a proven track record of successful leadership in our caucus,” said Bramnick. “He is politically savvy, intelligent, hard-working and has the respect and confidence of his colleagues. Tony’s experience will help advance Republican solutions to the many challenges our state faces.”

Bucco served as the Republican whip since October 2016 and as deputy leader since 2012.  He has served in the Assembly since 2010 and is a member of the Assembly Budget and Commerce and Economic Development committees. He represents parts of Morris and Somerset counties in the 25th legislative district.

An assemblywoman since 2009, Muñoz previously served as deputy conference leader.

“Nancy’s passion and energy has made her a leader in advancing health care legislation and stringent laws to protect domestic violence victims,” said Bramnick. “That same determination makes her a strong advocate to advance our message as whip.”

Muñoz currently serves on the Assembly Health and Senior Services, Women and Children and Commerce and Economic Development committees.  Muñoz represents parts of Union, Somerset and Morris counties in the 21st legislative district.
