Ciattarelli Wonders Aloud about Murphy’s Competence
The following statement is issued by Jack Ciattarelli, former State Assemblyman and 2017 Republican Gubernatorial Candidate.
Is our Governor that shameless, politically incompetent or both?
When running for Governor, Phil Murphy promised a new standard for transparency. After being elected, however, he authorized startup of a ‘dark money’ political organization (i.e., New Direction New Jersey) that has run paid television and various other media advertisements supporting his agenda. The Governor, by the way, has previously admitted to personally soliciting donations to this organization.
Until now, donors to this ‘dark money’ political organization were unknown. No longer. The New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), the union representing middle class teachers, donated no less than $2.5 million.
Since the Governor is supposed to negotiate with public sector unions on behalf of New Jersey taxpayers, his relationship with NJEA is an egregious conflict of interest that seriously compromises him as the leader of our state. He has taken phoniness and hypocrisy to whole other level.
The Governor needs to stop embarrassing New Jersey. He can start by demanding that the advisors running the ‘dark money’ political organization immediately return the NJEA money and disclose all other donors (as they previously promised).
Public Employee Unions donating to and negotiating with politicians is the foundation of corruption in NJ.
Unbelievable!!! We have the best, most refreshing, most caring Governor in our State of New Jersey. Of course comments like those uttered in distain by Citarielli and Christie have to be taken from where they come from—those who were responsible for tearing down the public and this State as a whole.
We have a Governor who loves, not hates, builds, not destroys and possesses an agenda for all in New Jersey.

Phil Murphy is a politically and governmentally inept member of the 1%. He thinks he knows everything, but the opposite is true. As a result, he continually proves that he is an insincere, clueless phony who thinks he will become president by turning NJ into a progressive public sewer like San Francisco. It has also become apparent that Me Too Tammy calls all of the shots. All Phony Phil knows is tax more, spend more and give more freebies to illegals. Christie was lousy, but Murphy will doom this state!
As an elected member of the Hudson County Democratic Committee for the past fifty years and a lilelong resident of Jersey City for the past 72 years I PROUDLY STAND BEHIND OUR GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY. The remarks uttered by Ciaterrelli have to be taken from where they are issued, from a person who is envious of the accomplishments of the most honest, caring governor in the history of the State of New Jersey.
