Currie All-in on Booker for U.S. President

Currie

At tonight’s Iftar Dinner in South Paterson, Democratic State Committee Chairman John Currie intensified the U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) for Prez 2020 tempo with his remarks at the front of the room.

As he introduced the junior senator from New Jersey, Currie said he is all in with Booker for president, and said NJ Dems will travel the nation for Booker, who proceeded to give a 20-minute, presidential campaign-like speech, honing in on a theme of love and acceptance versus hate.

One response to “Currie All-in on Booker for U.S. President”

  1. If anything, I would think that the last thing that Cory Booker would want is for New Jersey Democrats to travel outside of the state on his behalf, reminding the rest of the country, which has an otherwise good opinion of him, that he is a New Jersey politician and all of the baggage that comes with it.

My guess is that he would prefer them to stay home, do everything imaginable to move New Jersey’s primary date as far up onto the calendar as possible and win him as many of our state’s delegates as possible.

But as someone who prefers both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders to Booker, I strongly encourage New Jersey’s Democrats to take our state for granted and see as much of the country as possible over the next two years, meet as many people as possible, and do everything that you can to embarrass your chosen Presidential candidate.
