The Dominican-American Elected and Appointed Officials Caucus of New Jersey (DAEOC-NJ) today endorsed Speaker Prieto for re-election in LD32 and for Speaker of the Assembly, saying that Prieto has supported a number of initiatives important to the caucus, including paid family leave and increasing the minimum wage. 

DAEOC-NJ pointed out that NJ is home to a diverse population with more than one in five residents being foreign-born and that the state leadership should ‘not only represent a regional balance, the diversity of its population.’

Prieto doesn’t have a tough road to re-election in Dem-dominant LD32, but is facing a muscular challenge from Craig Coughlin for the Speakership.
