As part of their ongoing unity tour, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez and Deputy Chair Keith Ellison will come to New Jersey on Friday.
New Jersey Democrats have held our own during recent elections — reelecting our U.S. Senator, expanding our House majority, winning important local offices, and ousting Republican Congressman Scott Garrett,” Democratic State Party Chairman John Currie said in an email to fellow Democrats.
“But, later this year, we will face a bigger test: replacing Chris Christie with our gubernatorial nominee, and getting New Jersey moving forward again,” the chairman added. “I want to to reassure Chairman Perez and Deputy Chairman Ellison that we are ready to compete in November.”
