Election Day 2026

It's Election Day, with historic national - and worldwide - implications.
Polls opened at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.
At stake?
A U.S. Senate seat and 12 congressional seats as Democrats seek control of both federal houses.
We are especially watching CD-7 and CD-2, where respectively Democratic challengers Rebecca Bennett and Zack Mullock think they can pick off U.S. Rep. Tom Kean and U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, allies of embattled President Donald J. Trump.
The early voting favors Democrats.
For Kean, it may be a case of what comes around goes around.
Van Drew, first elected to Congress in 2018 as a Democrat, in 2020 switched parties to become a Republican and join Trump's MAGA movement.
Will the red base the incumbent GOP congressman depends on abandon him today amid the failed promises of Donald Trump?
"It's time for us to come together," said Senator Benjie Wimberly (D-35) while hosting his Barber Shop Talk in Paterson last night. "This is the most consequential election of your lifetime. This may be the most consequential election of my lifetime, in terms of what it means for my kids and my grandkids. Donald Trump is the face of everything wrong with America. He's not hiding... Let's not forget Jan 6th. Let's not forget the insurrection. Let's not forget that he and his family get richer off of a war that was never certified by Congress."
