EXCLUSIVE: Latino Leadership of South Jersey Mikie Sherrill Endorsement Letter

Latino Leadership of South Jersey Mikie Sherrill Endorsement Letter
October 15, 2025
To our hermanos y hermanas de la comunidad Latina:
As Latino leaders in South Jersey, we see firsthand the challenges our families face every day, from the barriers that hold back small business owners, to the rising costs and urgent need for affordable healthcare and housing, to the lack of opportunity for our children. We’ve all felt the pain of working hard but still feeling like the system is stacked against us. We also know the difference that real leadership makes in easing that pain. Leadership that listens and shows up. Leadership that fights for us.
That is why with hope for a better future and the conviction to build one, we proudly endorse Mikie Sherrill for Governor of New Jersey.
Throughout this campaign, Mikie has been in constant communication with our community. She sat with us, listened to our concerns, and made our voices part of her plan. In her administration, our families and business owners won't simply have a voice, we will have a true seat at the table. From day one, Mikie has made clear that empowering Latino communities is central to building a stronger New Jersey.
Mikie’s Save You Time and Money Agenda is exactly what our families and entrepreneurs need: it’s about cutting through bureaucracy, shorter wait times, and an improved Business Action
Center so our small businesses can thrive. It's a plan to finally address an unfair system: while Hispanic businesses make up 8% of all businesses, they only get 1% of contracts.
She understands that for our families, it's about putting more money in our pockets by lowering utility bills, increasing support for first-time homebuyers, cracking down on predatory landlords who keep raising rents, and taking on the middlemen who jack up prescription drug prices. She has already proven she is not afraid to fight powerful interests, from utility companies to powerful politicians in Washington to put our New Jersey’s working families first.
On healthcare, Mikie has already delivered results in Congress, she capped the cost of insulin and lowered prescription drug prices for seniors. As governor, she will lower healthcare costs because no family should have to choose between paying medical bills and putting a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Mikie is a mom of four children, so she understands the importance of education and opportunity for all our children. She will fight for our public schools and expand vocational training and other opportunities, and fight to fully fund our schools so every child can thrive. Mikie has always stood up for our communities. She has sponsored a bill to ensure ICE agents are identifiable and not masked, helped drive federal investment into public schools for ESL programs, and secured millions of dollars for minority-owned businesses.
The choice in this election could not be clearer.
Mikie’s opponent, Jack Ciattarelli, has chosen Donald Trump and, in Trump’s own words, is “100% MAGA.” He supports an agenda that increases our costs, takes away healthcare, and threatens to roundup our friends, family, neighbors, regardless of their immigration status. He has no plan to lower bills, strengthen small businesses, or uplift working families and let alone our communities. Time and again, he has chosen Trump over New Jersey.
Mikie Sherrill has chosen to serve. She served as a Navy pilot, a prosecutor, and as a Congresswoman, fighting for us every step of the way. She has chosen to fight for our working families, for our small businesses, for affordable healthcare, and for the dignity of every person in New Jersey.
For our families, for our future, and for a New Jersey where everyone has a fair shot, the Latino Leadership of South Jersey proudly stands with Mikie Sherrill for Governor. We urge you to join us in supporting her.
