Bennett Slaps Away at Trump-Cemented Kean

Running for Congress in the 7th District, retired U.S. Navy helicopter pilot Rebecca Bennett tonight said she hopes a two-week ceasefire holds, but that the United States should not be in this position. She blamed in part a Republican-controlled Congress that refuses to serve as a check on President Donald Trump.
Bennett said the world woke up this morning "to an insane message threatening to erase an entire civilization" and to commit war crimes."
"A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!"
"It's despicable and disgusting and no way to run a country," said Bennett. "Where are the Republicans? I took an oath to support the country."
In this battleground 7th Congressional District, Bennett took aim at the Republican incumbent and the GOP majority with which he serves. "Tom Kean, Jr. took the same oath," she said, "and he has been completely absent and completely silent."
When America commits servicemen and women in the field, we need "a clear motivation, objectives, and exit strategy," said the congressional candidate. "This administration has done none of those things. We need a Congress that is going to hold this admin accountable for its corruption and lawlessness."
Trump earlier this evening announced a two-week ceasefire, delaying bombing Iran back to the Stone Age, another of his earlier threats.
At the eleventh hour, Trump took to Truth Social to confirm a last-minute cancellation of the planned attack and an "immediate ceasefire."
Iran's list of demands put to President Trump has been made public following the agreement of a ceasefire, including an eye-watering $2 million (£1.1 million)-a-ship fee to use the Strait of Hormuz.
