Republican Challenger Doris Dilley Secures More Signatures than Incumbents Combined in Egg Harbor Township, Earns Coveted Ballot Placement
Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey – Former Egg Harbor Township Board of Education (EHT BOE) President Doris Dilley and Republican Candidate for Egg Harbor Township Committee has all the momentum in Election 2026.
Dilley, a resident of Egg Harbor Township for 55 years, secured 196 signatures on her petition; the other two Republicans in the Primary Election only garnered 169 signatures, combined. The requirement to be on the ballot is 75 signatures.
“We have a lot of support for our campaign. I’m humbled by how many voters signed my signature petition. Running on minimizing residential buildout, streamlining the permit process, reducing Township spending, ending No-Bid contracts, and attracting more businesses to EHT is clearly resonating,” Dilley said.
Even further, Dilley secured the coveted first position in the ballot block for the June 2, 2026 Election this past Thursday at the ballot placement drawing with the Atlantic County Clerk.
As a life-long resident of Egg Harbor Township and graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School in 1984, Dilley is fully vested in serving in largest municipality in Atlantic County.
“As I’ve stated as a private citizen during the General Public Comment of Township Committee Meetings, Egg Harbor Township residents deserve to live in a community where their elected officials recognize, respect, and value their voices.” We need to be more diligent in running the Township and that is why I’m asking your vote on June 2, 2026,” Dilley said.
Doris Dilley was elected to three terms to the Egg Harbor Township Board of Education from 1999 to 2012 and was elected as both Vice President and President by her fellow board members over her tenure. Dilley ran for Egg Harbor Township Committee in Election 2025 and earned 1,416 votes- 315 votes short to eventual Republican Nominee Paul Rosenberg. Rosenberg would go on to lose in the General Election to Democrat Peter Castellano 9,176 to 8,290.
