Green Party Leader Hoffman Running for U.S. Senate in 2020; Cites Booker Association with Norcross as a Key Reason

Green Party member Madelyn Hoffman will run for the United State Senate in 2020.

“I am starting earlier this time,” Hoffman told InsiderNJ.

The candidate ran last year against U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ). She received 25,150 votes or less than one percent.

Asked what her beef was with Booker, Hoffman said there are several.

“First is education in Newark. Second is water contamination in Newark. Third is support for increased military spending. Fourth is position against BDS with support for federal legislation making it a crime to support BDS,” Hoffman said.

“Fifth, association with Norcross,” she added. “Sixth, right now divided loyalties, running for president and U.S. Senate at the same time.”

She will also run on Green Party issues, including the real Green New Deal and improved Medicare for All.
