Kettenburg Kicks off in Trenton

Trenton native Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg announced her re-election campaign for Trenton South Ward Council at Caesar’s Italian Restaurant on Wednesday, January 3.

South Ward Councilwoman Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg said, “I celebrate one year of service in our great city, Trenton!  Un ano de servicio! It has been a lot of fun. It has been challenging, but mostly, it’s been rewarding!”

Kettenburg is a native Trentonian. She attended Trenton public schools and is a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School’s class of 1999. She was raised on Lamberton Street in Trenton.  She attended Rutgers University, where she acquired a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice with minors in Communications and Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Caribbean Studies. She received her master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University.

During Jenna’s first year in office, she has passed an animal breeding ordinance that would penalize non-registered breeders, a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) ordinance, and an ordinance that bans the overnight parking of commercial vehicles in residential neighborhoods.

Kettenburg also saw the demolition of several extremely dilapidated properties in her ward. The repaving of several long stretches of roadway, new sidewalks, a dozen traffic calming measures at a handful of the busiest intersections in the South Ward, community cleanups at a few of the Ward’s vacant lots, tree trimming, as well as bring the New Jersey Division of Taxation’s Anchor rebate program to low income housing projects, all the while keeping Trenton’s budget balanced.

The South Ward Councilwoman also announced the Re-Election Campaign Chair, former Trenton North Ward Councilwoman, Marge Caldwell-Wilson.

“I’m thrilled to have the former Councilwoman as my Campaign Chair. With her help, I believe I can achieve so much more and that is why I decided to run for another term,” said Figueroa Kettenburg.
