Kominsky to Join Government Affairs Firm CLB Partners

In January of next year, public affairs professional Karen Kominsky will join CLB Partners, the firm led by William Layton and Jon Bombardieri, founding partners.  CLB Partners specializes in government affairs, strategic communications and grassroots advocacy; bringing clients through the complex legislative and regulatory landscape in New Jersey. Additional services include polling, media management and association management.

Kominsky will join CLB as a partner.

“I am excited to join Bill and Jon and the CLB team.  I’ve spent nearly three decades working with decision-makers throughout New Jersey,” said Kominsky. “Together, we are eager to face the challenges and opportunities of this dynamic political and policy environment.”

Layton added, “Karen is a seasoned communications and political strategist, she brings a unique combination of both national and state experience.”

“Karen’s extensive knowledge will be a tremendous asset for our clients,” Bombardieri said. “Together, as a full-service lobbying firm, we will be able to strengthen our clients’ position through her vast experience and in-depth knowledge of the issues, process, and politics.”

Kominsky  served as Deputy Chief of Staff for New Jersey Governor Richard J. Codey and Governor James E. McGreevey where she helped guide the passage of several landmark pieces of legislation. She began her career in government at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, later serving as the Deputy Commissioner in 2002.  In 2008, she served as the New Jersey Director for the 2008 Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign.

Kominsky serves on Governor-elect Murphy’s transition team and was one of InsiderNJ’s Women on the Rise.
