LBC Leadership Torch Passed to Reynolds-Jackson

The New Jersey Legislative Black Caucus proudly celebrates the passing of the torch to a new generation of leadership.
For decades, the NJ LBC has served as the moral and political conscience of our state, a collective voice committed to justice, equity, and meaningful progress.
Our delegation spans every corner of New Jersey, representing urban, suburban, and rural communities alike. Despite our diverse geographies, we are united by a shared responsibility: to confront systemic inequities, champion opportunity, and ensure that every resident of this state has the tools to thrive.
Throughout the years, the caucus has advanced transformative policies, defended the rights of marginalized communities, and held steadfast in the belief that government must work for all people. We stand on the shoulders of trailblazers who paved the way for greater representation and deeper inclusion, and we carry forward their legacy with pride and purpose.
Today, I am honored to pass this mantle of leadership to Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson. As she steps into this pivotal role, I am confident that the NJ LBC will not only maintain its vital voice in our state, but rise to meet the challenges of this moment with renewed energy, bold vision, and intentional leadership. The future of the caucus is bright, and under her guidance, our mission will continue to flourish.
