Murphy Campaign Worker Mujahid Henry Killed in Hit and Run

Mujahid Henry, 23, of Newark, was struck by a car and killed in Linden on Friday, Union County prosecutors said.

According to NBC News, “Henry worked on Democrat Phil Murphy’s campaign for New Jersey governor. He was also a legislative aide to Freeholder Leonard M. Luciano.”

Murphy gubernatorial rival Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D-19) released the following statement upon learning of the death of Mr. Henry, of the Murphy campaign:

“To have someone so young be taken at the beginning of what looked to be a promising life is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mujahid Henry’s family at this difficult time.”
