ATLANTIC CITY - InsiderNJ caught up with Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp on Wednesday at the annual Government Finance Officers Association Conference, where the Union leader addressed his efforts on behalf of the gubernatorial campaign of Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill.

Having won the Democratic Primary in his city, Mapp appears on the general election ballot in support of Sherrill.

"It is our goal to make sure we turn out the votes for Mikie Sherrill and all the candidates on the Democratic line," Mapp told InsiderNJ at the Hard Rock. "This is going to be a very close election. My goal is to get 50 plus percent turnout for Mikie Sherrill. It is that important."
