ACS CAN is Encouraged by Proposals from Electronic Smoking Device Task Force
TRENTON, NJ – October 3, 2019 – Governor Phil Murphy has released the recommendations of the Electronic Smoking Device Task Force.
Samantha DeAlmeida, New Jersey government relations director of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) released the following statement:
“We are encouraged by the Electronic Smoking Device Task Force’s recommendations recognizing the dangers posed to our youth by e-cigarettes. The tobacco industry uses flavored tobacco products to lure kids into a lifetime of addiction. We look forward to strengthening this proposal and urge lawmakers to pass legislation prohibiting all flavored tobacco products, including cigars and menthol cigarettes, to protect all New Jerseyans.”
