Passaic Chairman Currie on passing of Commissioner Bruce James

Passaic Chairman Currie on passing of Commissioner Bruce James:

"I am saddened by the passing of my longtime friend, Commissioner Bruce James. Bruce spent his life fighting for working people, for struggling families, and for those who too often did not have someone in their corner.

Whether it was during his decades of service at the Passaic County Board of Social Services, as a longtime union leader, or during more than twenty years as a Passaic County Freeholder and Commissioner, Bruce never forgot who he was there to serve.
Bruce was a loyal friend, a proud Democrat, and someone we could always count on when things got difficult. He was also an important part of the success of our Passaic County Democratic family. I will always be grateful for his friendship, his loyalty, and the many years we spent working together.
This is a tremendous loss for all of us who knew Bruce. My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones during this very difficult time.
Bruce James devoted his life to helping others. We will miss his voice and his friendship, but the difference he made in the lives of so many people will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace, my friend."
