ACY heads into the holiday weekend following a summer of expanded air service

Egg Harbor Township, NJ - Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) is preparing for Labor Day weekend with several new travel options available to passengers following an expansion of air service this summer.

Breeze Airways began service at the airport in May with flights to Charleston, followed by Raleigh-Durham in June and Orlando and Tampa in July. Allegiant continues to serve Fort Lauderdale, Orlando/Sanford, Punta Gorda, St. Pete-Clearwater, and Myrtle Beach. American Airlines passengers can also begin their journey at ACY through the airline’s Landline connection to Philadelphia International Airport, with access to American’s broader domestic and international network.

“We’ve added several new options for travelers this summer, and there’s more coming this fall,” said Tim Kroll, Airport Director at ACY. “For Labor Day, passengers have a number of ways to start their trip right here at ACY, whether they’re flying with Breeze or Allegiant or connecting through Philadelphia on American Airlines.”

Travelers heading out for the holiday weekend are encouraged to check in online when available, confirm baggage requirements with their airline, and review TSA guidelines before packing. Passengers should also monitor their flight status before leaving for the airport and plan to arrive about two and a half hours before departure.

“Labor Day is traditionally a busy travel weekend, and we want passengers to have an easy start to their trip,” said Dr. La Shonine Gandy-Smith, Deputy Airport Director at ACY. “Planning ahead can make a big difference during a holiday weekend. Giving yourself enough time and checking your flight information before arriving can help make the travel experience as smooth as possible.”

ACY’s expanded service will continue into the fall, with additional Breeze Airways routes scheduled to launch in the coming months. Service to Vero Beach is scheduled to begin October 2, followed by Fort Myers and Myrtle Beach on October 22 and West Palm Beach on December 17.
