AFP-NJ Praises Congress for Passing Historic Tax Reform Legislation

TRENTON, NJ – Americans for Prosperity-New Jersey (AFP-NJ) today applauded Congress for passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which now goes to President Trump’s desk for his signature. The grassroots organization, which made unrigging the economy through tax reform its top priority this year, also expressed disappointment in the New Jersey representatives who voted “No” on the bill and tried to deny Garden State residents the simpler, fairer tax system they deserve.

AFP-NJ State Director Erica Jedynak issued the following statement:

“Today’s passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is a monumental victory for Congress, the Trump White House, and Garden State residents. These pro-growth reforms will unrig the economy and help folks keep more of their hard-earned money to invest in their own communities. We commend Rep. MacArthur for following through on his commitment to bringing real relief to hardworking taxpayers and making America more competitive. We’re disappointed the rest of the delegation did not positively contribute to the tax reform debate and failed to live up to their promises of delivering tax reform for New Jersey. After years of economic stagnation, this legislation will ignite our economy and bring the economic growth and opportunity that will benefit the Garden State.”
