AFSCME New Jersey Endorses Tom Malinowski for Congress

Trenton, NJ – AFSCME NJ Council 63 today announced the endorsement of Tom Malinowski for Congress in New Jersey’s 7th District, over incumbent Leonard Lance.

“We are very happy to endorse Tom Malinowski in this race,” said AFSCME New Jersey Executive Director, Steve Tully. “We believe he will stand with us in the continuing fight for the rights of working people. Tom has a track record of standing up for fairness and human rights, and we are proud to entrust him with our endorsement.”

Malinowski said he is honored to receive AFSCME New Jersey’s endorsement and has vowed to stand with New Jersey’s public workers.

“I am honored to receive the support of AFSCME New Jersey, one of the largest public employee unions in the state,” Malinowski said. “As an Assistant Secretary of State, I oversaw our government’s efforts to champion labor rights around the world and I am dedicated to protecting workers from losing the raises they deserve or benefits they earned. The rights of working people are under attack in Washington, and I will do everything in my power to see the next Congress fight back.”

Tom Malinowski faces 9-year incumbent Leonard Lance in the election for Congress in NJ-07, on November 6th.
