Another Atlantic County Committeeman backs Fitzherbert for Congress

South Jersey’s Harry Hurley reports that Brian Fitzherbert has announced his candidacy in Congressional District 2. Last year, Fitzherbert vied for the GOP nomination in a crowded primary, but was knocked off the ballot after rival Hirsh Singh challenged his petition signature.

Egg Harbor Township –Brian T. Fitzherbert, who is seeking the Republican nomination in New Jersey’s Second Congressional District, announced the endorsement of Egg Harbor Township County Committeeman and former President of the United Republican Club of Egg Harbor Township, Leonard Dagit.

Committeeman Dagit emphasized his endorsement of Fitzherbert stating, “I unequivocally support Brian because we need a Republican Member of Congress from our community who will go to D.C to represent the constituents and especially our veterans who have been disenfranchised. Furthermore, Brian understands our economy and he will be the candidate we need for a better future in South Jersey.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Committeeman Dagit. He successfully led the United Republican Club of Egg Harbor Township and is a strong conservative voice in the community we share and love. Len is a businessman that understands the need to spur economic growth through job opportunities in South Jersey. I’m grateful to have his support and look forward to working with him as we fight to win back the House of Representatives in 2020,” Fitzherbert said.

New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District covers all of Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem Counties, as well as parts of Gloucester, Ocean, Burlington, and Camden Counties.
