Salutes Veterans

(TRENTON) – Paying homage to the nation’s veterans, Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker (D-Essex), chair of the Assembly Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, released the following statement Sunday in recognition of Veterans Day.

“As chair of the Assembly Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee, as well as a private citizen, I am proud to salute the country’s more than 20 million veterans.  Their bravery and commitment to our country are unsurpassed. It reflects an unselfish willingness to protect the United States and defend her freedom.

“While every Veterans Day is noteworthy, 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of World War I concluding–an era forever cemented in our nation’s history and the premise on which Veterans Days is based.  This milestone warrants even more reason to thank and appreciate veterans with our actions, expressions of gratitude and legislation that ensures their well-being.”
