Assembly Panel to Meet in Englewood to Examine High Rate of Railroad Crossing Collisions in Bergen County

 

(TRENTON) – The Assembly Transportation panel will meet Wednesday in Englewood to hear testimony on the high rate of railroad crossing collisions in Bergen County and ways to prevent these collisions in the future.

According to a recent report by The Record, Bergen County had more crashes involving vehicles and trains between 2007 and 2017 than anywhere else in the Northeast.

The Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bergen Performing Arts Center at 30 North Van Brunt St. in Englewood.
