Assemblyman Jerry Walker Partners with Our Lady of Mercy Church to Host New Jersey Property Tax Relief Filing Event

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Assemblyman Jerry Walker (D-31) is partnering with Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church to help New Jersey homeowners and renters access available property tax relief programs during a community filing assistance event on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The event will provide residents with an opportunity to meet directly with representatives from the New Jersey Division of Taxation, receive assistance completing their PAS-1 applications, and learn more about available property tax relief programs, including eligibility requirements and income limits.

“With the rising cost of living, we know that many families, seniors, and working residents are looking for ways to make ends meet,” said Assemblyman Walker. “Property tax relief programs are available to help, but too often, people are unaware of the benefits they may qualify for or need assistance completing the application process. My goal is to make sure residents have access to the information and resources they deserve.”

The event is open to eligible New Jersey homeowners and renters of all ages, subject to applicable program requirements.
