Bergen GOP: Gov. Murphy’s Pandering To Illegal Aliens Continues To Be Dangerous For New Jersey

Bergen County Republican Organization Chair Jack Zisa congratulated Paul Juliano on his election to the head of the county Democrats, a party he says is one of deceit and trickery and has not been serving the needs of the working people.

Gov. Murphy’s Pandering To Illegal Aliens Continues

To Be Dangerous For New Jersey

When will Bergen Democrats Oppose Murphy’s Pandering Policies

In accordance with an unfortunate edict enacted by Gov. Murphy’s administration, police in Atlantic County released an illegal alien this month who ran over and killed a 7-year-old boy and severely injured his 71-year-old grandmother.

The man accused of the killing — Jorge Rodriguez-Saldana, 30, was charged with third-degree causing a fatal crash and was issued a motor vehicle summons for being an unlicensed driver after the July 10 crash on White Horse Pike.

Rather than detain the man for federal ICE review authorities, the police following Gov. Murphy’s directive released him. According to Murphy’s edict local law enforcement is prohibited from cooperating with federal immigration officials.

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement statement Rodriguez-Saldana was arrested on July 13 by ICE-ERO Newark Officers in Horsham, Pennsylvania for immigration violations as he was in the U.S. illegally.

The Bergen County Republican Organization and its freeholder candidates Corrado Belgiovine, Alyssa Dawson and Katie Cericola issued the following statement:

“Gov. Murphy and the Democratic Party in Bergen County and throughout the state are endangering the lives of state residents with their misguided policy of pandering to the illegal alien lobby – which wants open borders that will allow millions of illegals to cross into our country unimpeded and live here indefinitely.

“Bergen County residents have already been victims of illegal alien violence; how long will the Bergen Freeholders allow Murphy’s edict tying the hands of local police to continue? When will the Bergen Democratic Freeholders and the Bergen County Sheriff wake up – as officials in other counties are doing – and fight back against Progressive Murphy and his efforts to maintain New Jersey as a sanctuary state for illegal aliens? When will they stand up for Bergen County residents, rather than lay down for the extremist governor?

“It is preposterous that law enforcement in Atlantic County released a man who was not only in the country illegally, but driving without a license – after he killed a child – because of the Democratic Party’s radical political agenda. We won’t let it happen in Bergen County.”

The Atlantic County incident just the latest recent example of a dangerous criminal suspect in New Jersey being in the country illegally.
