Washington, D.C., November 6, 2018 – This evening, Naval Aviator Mikie Sherrill was elected to serve New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence congratulated Sherrill on her impressive victory.

Kyleanne Hunter, USMC (ret.), VP of Programs at the Brady Campaign, stated:

“Campaigning alongside Mikie Sherrill, I had a chance to see firsthand what a remarkable candidate and woman she is. Now, we will all have an opportunity to see her leadership and tenacity in the House of Representatives. She has truly lived the values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. From expanded background checks to a federal assault weapon ban, Mikie knows firsthand how important these issues are to protecting all Americans.
