A BLACK HISTORY MONTH VIRTUAL TOWN HALL ON SOCIAL EQUITY IN THE CANNABIS SPACE, FEBRUARY 24, 2023 | 2:00PM-4:00PM (EST)

The Black Cannabis Equity Initiative(BCEI) and the Black CannaBusiness Magazine announced today that they will collaborate on a series of National Cannabis Social Equity Town Hall discussions to continue the goal of leveling the cannabis playing field in the US. These two respected Black cannabis organizations will hold the first Social Equity Town Hall as a virtual social equity conversation in recognition of Black History Month(February). This National Cannabis and Community event will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm EST. The theme of this Black History Month cannabis conversation will be “The Urgency Of Now In The Cannabis Landscape” and will feature speakers representing states and municipalities, industry experts, social equity leaders, advocates and applicants from across the country. Cannabis updates, presentations and discussions will include the Town Hall Series, Access to Capital, What States Are Doing, Ancillary Business Opportunities, a Social Equity State Case Study, Hot Topics and more.

Confirmed speakers include: Ed DeVeaux, President, NJ CannaBusiness Association, Roz McCarthy, Executive Director & Founder, Minorities for Medical Marijuana, Paula Sardinas, CEO & Founder, Washington – Build Back Black Alliance, Molly Duplechian, Executive Director, Denver Excise and License, Dominique Mendiola, Director, Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division, Jerel Registre, Managing Director, Curio Wellness WMBE Fund Tavarres King, Executive Director, Suite 420 Acess, Ernest Toney, Founder, BIPOCANN, Brian Adams, Director of Education, Al Harrington Institute.
