Capital Health Facilities Become Tier 1 Options for Horizon’s OMNIA Members

October 11, 2017 – Trenton, NJ –Capital Health announced that effective January 1, 2018, Capital Health Regional Medical Center and Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell will both be Tier 1 hospitals for OMNIA Health Plan members.

This change in tier allows Horizon members to take advantage of lower out-of-pocket costs while utilizing Capital Health facilities. “This is a win-win-win for Capital Health, Horizon and most importantly, our patients,” said Al Maghazehe, president and CEO of Capital Health.

“OMNIA Health Plans continue to grow in popularity as more New Jerseyans embrace the choice for a more affordable, high quality health insurance policy,”  said Robert J. Franzoi, Vice President of Healthcare Delivery at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.  “We’re pleased that our OMNIA members will now be able to obtain care at Capital’s hospitals while saving on out-of-pocket costs.”

OMNIA Health Plan premiums are 15 to 20 percent lower than Horizon’s broad network plans and OMNIA members who receive care from Tier 1 providers or at Tier 1 hospitals save more through lower out-of-pocket costs.
